The water challenges in Morocco and neighboring regions are increasingly influencing the socio-economic directions of these countries. For several decades, SCE Chemicals has been supporting the extensive program of providing clean drinking water to the entire population, particularly through the production of Aluminum Sulfate used in the purification process.
As the production capacities of Aluminum Sulfate continue to expand gradually, the populations of West Africa are also able to benefit from this strategic input in the treatment of drinking water.
Recently, SCE Chemicals has constructed a Chlor-Alkali plant, which produces Sodium Hypochlorite, commonly known as “Javel Extract” or bleach. This new facility strengthens Morocco’s capacities to meet the growing demand for this product, which is used for hygiene and water treatment purposes.
In the industrial sector, water treatment requires various other chemical inputs such as caustic soda, sulfuric acid, and hydrochloric acid, which are produced and marketed by SCE Chemicals.
